The three-day international colloquium on education organised by the Kerala-based Alliance Educational Foundation, in association with its educational partners in the United States of America and France, came to a close at the Sri Adwayananda Public School (SAPS) at Malakkara near Aranmula on Sunday.
Ravi Sinha, Human Resources Manager of Decathlon India, delivered the valedictory speech.
Mr. Sinha spoke on how the digital world was creating partnerships beyond the borders in the modern age.
According to him, it is important for students to develop a collaborative mindset.
Tarla Nanavati, school principal, said the three-day event involved interactive sessions involving distinguished guests and teacher-alumni pairs of the school.
Helene Danel, vice-president of the Community of Communes, Brittany, France, narrated the learning environment she had witnessed at SAPS.
Ms, Danel was all praise of the way in which children are able to explore, to be creative, learning the curriculum and good human values with out competing each other at SAPS.
The invited guests also learned about the school’s ongoing partnerships with the Decathlon sports company which has offered an annual internship to the school’s senior students, the Clonlara School at Michigan in America which partners with the SA Public School to provide a US diploma recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, and the Cambridge International Programme (IGCSE) with which the school is currently in the process of affiliation during the colloquium.
The seventh colloquium was inaugurated by Annie Stillman, English faculty at the University of Cambridge in U.K, earlier, on Friday.
A classical dance performance by Lekshmi Suresh, school alumnus, was a major attraction at the cultural programme held as part of the colloquium.
Arun Krishnamurthy, founder of the Environmentalist Foundation of India; Didier Cadau, educationist; Chandan Keerthi, founder of BCUBE Consulting in Singapore, and Kunal Dhanwant, recruitment and learning leader at Decathlon, were among those who addressed the three-day colloquium.
