Centre for automobile technology inaugurated

: Amal Jyothi-Eicher Centre for Automobile Technology, jointly established by the Amal Jyothi College of Engineering and Volvo-Eicher Commercial Vehicles was inaugurated by Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, Minister for Forests and Transport, at Kanjirappally on Thursday, press note said.

The automobile lab will conduct skill development programmes to familiarise engineering graduates and students pursuing vocational training with about the latest automotive technologies and impart modern training, according to press note.

Bishop Mathew Arackal, patron of the College, Vinod Aggarwal, CEO, VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd., P Kaniappan, MD, Wabco India were present at the function.

The programmes offered by the Centre include training programme for B.Tech students, one-year automotive technician programme and short term programmes tailored for local and national needs.
