The Church as well as society should ensure peace and justice for all, the Kerala Council of Churches president, Gabriel Mar Gregorios Metropolitan, has said.

Mar Gregorios was inaugurating the delegates’ meet of the Christian Conference of Asia (CASA) assembly at the AMM Bible Institute at Kombady, near Thiruvalla, on Monday.

He said justice and peace were mutually related and the ecumenical establishments should satisfy their responsibility to take the lead in facilitating unity and harmony in life. Fr Kurien Daniel, KCC zonal president, presided over the meeting.Kuriakose Mar Gregorios Metropolitan; Ipe Joseph, former NCCI general secretary; Prakash P. Thomas, Mar Thoma Church lay trustee; Mathews George Chunakkara; Saramma Varghese; Danes B. Oommen; Thomas Abraham; Zacharia John; Varghese T. Mangad; Linoj Chacko; Joji P. Thomas; and M.B. Ninan, KCC office-bearers, also spoke.Mr. Chunakkara, who has been appointed the new general secretary of the organisation, was felicitated on the occasion.
