BKMU State conference concludes

The three-day State conference of the Bharatiya Khet Mazdoor Union (Kerala State Karshaka Thozhilali Federation) concluded here on Friday with a call for the “immediate resignation” of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in the wake of the High Court verdict that the palmolein import corruption case cannot be withdrawn in public interest.

In a separate resolution, the conference called for allocation of land and houses for all homeless and landless farm labourers.

Pension

No conditions should be imposed while selecting the beneficiaries for pension for the agricultural labourers.

Newly elected

The conference elected A.K. Chandran and P.K. Krishnan as the State president and the general secretary of the union.

K.E. Haneefa is the treasurer. K. Raju MLA, K.D. Mohanan, and N. Rajan are the vice presidents. P Sugathan, Kumbalam Rajappan and M. Narayanan, the secretaries.
