BJP worker stabbed

: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker was stabbed and the house of a Communist Party of India (Marxist) was attacked during a clash between workers of the rival parties at Venduttayi, near Pinarayi, here on Monday.

The police said CPI(M) branch secretary V. Shaijan’s house was attacked by suspected BJP workers early Monday. Within an hour, a local BJP worker Chail Ajesh (35) was stabbed by alleged CPI(M) workers. An autorickshaw and a motorcycle parked in the house were damaged. The BJP worker was admitted to a hospital in Thalassery.
