Beach to get a facelift

Tourism Minister A.P. Anilkumar commissioned various development works at the Arthunkal beach on Monday evening.

The activities were undertaken as part of the Alappuzha mega tourism circuit project.

According to him, the works including establishing a park have been undertaken at a cost of Rs. 90 lakh. Various facilities including swings, slides, seesaws, gazebo, footpath and toilets have been set-up at the park.

Pedal-boating facilities have been envisaged in the second phase of the development works.

Mr. Anilkumar added that the government will undertake the construction of benches along the seashore and footpath on the approach path to the children’s park. K.C. Venugopal, MP, and P. Thilothaman, MLA, also participated in the function.
