Arrangements are in place for the district-level celebrations of the Republic Day to be held at M.S.P. Grounds here on Monday. Minister for Electricity Aryadan Mohammed will take the salute at the parade of different forces to be held at 8.30 a.m.
Personnel of the Malabar Special Police (MSP), local police, Armed Reserve Police, women police, Forest and Excise Departments will take part in the parade. Members of the NCC, Scout-Guide, Junior Red Cross, and Student Police Cadets too will participate. MSP Assistant Commandant P.C. Abdul Kareem will lead the parade.
Inspector of Armed Reserve Police C. Jabir will be the second in command. There will be awards for the best performance in the parade. A procession of students from different schools in the district will begin from the Civil Station ground at 6.45 a.m. The police said there would be traffic regulations on Monday.
