Fresh job seekers could register at the national web portal of the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development and find for themselves the right job training programme provided by government and private establishments.

The job seekers should be graduates or diploma holders in engineering, catering technology, library science and pharmacy and also Plus Two Vocational pass-outs. At a press conference here on Wednesday, southern region Director of the Board of Apprenticeship Training A. Ayyakannu said the one-year training programme was the government’s National Apprenticeship Training Scheme to enhance skill in fresh job seekers. The portal can be accessed through the site www.mhrdnats.gov.in.

During the apprenticeship, a minimum government- declared stipend will be paid by the employer. Fifty per cent of that will be reimbursed to the employer by the Central government. At the end of the training, the board will issue a digitally signed experience certificate of proficiency to the trainee, which will be equal to an experience certificate.

Other eligibility conditions for registering are that the candidate should not have work experience of more than one year and should not have completed three years after passing the qualifying examination.
