Akshaya to roll out more services

: District Collector P. Bala Kiran said here on Monday that the Akshaya Centres would soon expand their operations as e-governance of the State government would be extended to 42 more departments.

Inaugurating the entrepreneurship seminar for Akshaya entrepreneurs held here on Monday in connection with the Gandhi Jayanti week observance, the Collector said Akshaya Centres represented the IT face of the government. Acknowledging that the Akshaya Centres played a commendable role in the implementation of e-governance in the State, he said more services would be available at the centres after 42 more departments were brought under e-governance.

Additional District Magistrate O. Mohammed Aslam presided over the function, organised by the Akshaya Mission district project office and the Information and Public Relations Department.
