Actor Suresh Gopi will rub shoulders with Bollywood celebrities attending the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister - designate Narendra Modi on Monday.
Confirming the reception of a personal invite from Modi’s office , the actor said that he was excited to attend the event and hoped that he would get a place among other film stars and corporate heads. “It is a matter of great pleasure that Modi has extended his personal invite to me and I regard this as the greatest award I can get,” said the actor, who won the national film award for best actor in 1998.
To another query, he said that the BJP’s landslide victory pointed to the country’s desire to have a strong leader at the helm of affairs. “He’s the greatest leader the country has seen in the past many decades and the mandate he received from the people is the evidence of his leadership quality,” the actor added.
