The police are on the lookout for the mobile phone of the prime acused in the case of abduction and sexual assault of a Malayalam film actor. Sunil Kumar Surendran aka 'Pulsar Suni', allegedly captured images of the actor in the phone while holding her captive, reportedly for blackmailing her.

The accused, being interrogated at the Aluva Police Club, reportedly told the police that he had chucked the phone in a drain.

In the early hours of Friday, police took the accused for collecting evidence and finding the phone along the route through which he had taken the actor on the night she was abducted. This lasted a couple of hours.

The police are examining whether more actors had fallen victim to the ‘abduction for blackmailing’ ploy of the accused though he had claimed that this was his first such operation.

ADGP B. Sandhya said arresting all the accused in the case was a commendable feat by the police. “The accused are being interrogated in detail and would be presented before the court today. We will definitely ask for their custody,” she told journalists.

'Pulsar Suni', along with his partner in crime Vijeesh, were arrested by the police from a court room on Thursday afternoon when they surreptitiously sneaked in to surrender.
