S. Ramachandran elected vice-chairman of Rubber Board

S. Ramachandran, director, Vaikundom Plantations, one of the oldest natural rubber plantation company in the country, has been elected vice-chairman of Rubber Board. The decision was taken at the 165th meeting of the Rubbber Board held here on Monday.

A native of Thiruvananthapuram, Mr Ramachandran is also on the executive committee of the Planters'' Association of Tamil Nadu, Wage Negotiating Committee of Tamil Nadu Rubber Workers and UPASI Rubber Committee. He had served on the Plantation Labour Committee of Government of Tamil Nadu and also was consultant to the Government of Nigeria earlier.
