New website for Technopark

July 29, 2010 06:35 pm | Updated 06:35 pm IST - Thiruvananthapuram:

Technopark Thiruvananthapuram has a new platform to showcase its achievements and project its future plans. Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan inaugurated the revamped website of the Technopark as part of its 20th Foundation Day celebrations on Wednesday.

The new-look website http://www.technopark.org is more user friendly and contains all the latest details on the Technopark and the IT Department. Designed and developed by the Calpine Group, it features the infrastructure and support services available on the campus. The site lists the 185 companies operating from the campus and gives information about the recreational facilities. It also includes a job search corner, an interactive tour and news updates on programmes and events.

A CEO meet was organised as part of the celebrations. CEOs and former CEOs of various companies were present. They discussed initiatives to be taken to make the Technopark a world class destination. Dr. Ajay Kumar, IT Secretary, addressed the meet.

An interactive session with the media was another highlight of the day. Technopark CEO Mervin Alexander was among those present.

Toonz Animation CEO P. Jayakumar said that “20 years of Technopark augurs well for the IT industry in Kerala as a whole. With 185 companies employing around 28,000 professionals, Technopark has added much, in a short span of time to Kerala which had a perceived non-investor friendly tag. With global facilities and local talents, Technopark has emerged as a balanced IT eco-system which I am sure the world will notice in years to come.”

Technopark officials including M. Vasudevan, Senior Business Development Manager; K.C. Chandrashekharan Nair, chief finance officer, and K.V. Rajendran, general manager, and K. Ramachandran, deputy general manager, addressed the media.
