Murali's re-entry after Chandy 'yatra': KPCC

January 20, 2011 08:21 pm | Updated January 21, 2011 07:22 pm IST - PALAKKAD:

Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Ramesh Chennithala has said that after the ‘Kerala Mochana Yatra' which will end at Parasala on February 4, he along with Leader of Opposition Oommen Chandy will meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi and request her to take back the former KPCC president, K. Muraleedharan, in the Congress.

Addressing a public meeting at Stadium Bus Stand ground in Palakkad town on Thursday, he said nobody was against admitting Mr. Muraleedharan in the Congress. The stand taken by him during the local body elections was appreciated by the Congress. So the process of readmitting Mr. Muraleedharan would start after the ‘yatra.'

(Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Oommen Chandy during his press conference here on Thursday said there was no hitch in readmitting Mr. Muraleedharan in the Congress. But there were some procedures for it that would be taken shortly, he said.)
