Sathar Adhoor, a writer of miniature books, is attempting to enter the Guinness Book of Records for the largest collection of miniature books.

3,137 books

He exhibited 3,137 miniature books, including those written by him, at Kerala Sahitya Akademi Hall here on Saturday.

The length of books in his collection, arranged in 38 boxes, ranges from one cm to five cm.

“Zerifa Salahova of Azerbaijan is the existing record holder with 2,913 books,” Mr. Adhoor said.

Mr. Adhoor’s collection includes 2,710 story books and 427 poem collections.

Various languages

They are in various languages.

A novelist and script writer, he has been concentrating on writing and collecting miniature books from 2008. He entered the Limca Book of Records in 2011.

He improved his own records in 2012 and 2013.

His other records include Unique World Record-2012; World Records India -2012; and the Asia Word Record -2013.
