A food products unit at Peringome here was gutted in fire in the early hours of Sunday.
Kalavara Food Products at Peringome suffered damages as its machinery and building caught fire in the wee hours. The loss is estimated at Rs. 10 lakh.
The Fire and Rescue Service personnel said that the fire was suspected to have been caused by short circuit. The incident occurred after the unit was closed on Saturday evening.
