Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan has said that the Central government is solely responsible for the sky rocketing price rise of essential commodities in the country.

Inaugurating the new building of local committee office of Communist Party of India (Marxist) at Polpully in Chittur taluk here on Tuesday he said that the Leader of Opposition Oommen Chandy should take his ‘Kerala Mochana Yathra’ not to Thiruvanathapuram but to New Delhi where his leaders are running the government which failed to control price rise.

At Polpully the Chief Minister called on the leading farmer and State government’s Karshakothama award winner Polpully Vasudevan.

In another function the Chief Minister inaugurated the local committee office of the CPI (M) at Melarcode in Alathur taluk.
