CSI Day celebrated

The 63rd Church of South India Day was celebrated at CSI Christ Church at Kodukulanji near Chengannur on Saturday.

A statement issued by Dr. Siju Paul Philip, organising committee convener, said the celebrations began with a special service led by Bishop Thomas Samuel at 8.30 am.

Dr. Joseph Marthoma, Metropolitan of Mar Thoma Church, inaugurated the celebrations and Rt. Rev. K.J. Daniel, CSI Bishop of East Kerala diocese, presided over the inaugural function.

Bishop K.P. Kuruvila of North Kerala diocese inaugurated the centenary celebrations of the CSI World Missionary on the occasion.

Mr. P.C. Vishnunath, MLA, felicitated Mr. Anson Thomas who won this year’s CNN-IBN award. Rev P.B. Paulose, Mr. Jacob Philip, Rev. Kuruvila George, Rev Dr. P.K. Kuruvila, Rev. Samji K. Sam, also spoke.
