Air Chief Marshal P.V. Naik arrived here on Tuesday evening. The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) and his wife, Madhubaala Naik, president of the Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Central), were received at the airport by Air Marshal S Mukerji, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Air Command, and Nandita Mukerji, president, AFWWA (Regional).
The air chief was presented an impressive guard of honour by Air Warriors at the airport. Later in the evening, the air chief called on Governor R.S. Gavai.
Mr.Naik is scheduled to inaugurate the SAC Commanders' Conference on Wednesday. He will address the commanders of various units under the Southern Air Command Headquarters. He will also interact with all personnel of the HQ SAC.
