As many as 23,983 students who appeared for the vocational higher secondary examination (VHSE) secured a pass in all three parts of the examination. The pass percentage is 81.5. Last year it was 79.03. As many as 25,540 students appeared for the examinations in the continuous evaluation and grading pattern.
The results were announced here by Education Minister C. Ravindranath on Monday.
Wayanad district hosted the maximum number of students who cleared parts one and two (93.36%) and Pathanmthitta, the least(71.95%). Thiruvananthapuram hosted the maximum number of students who cleared parts one, two and three (88.67%) and Pathanamthitta the least, with 64.71%. Thirty-six government schools and 10 aided schools secured 100% pass in all parts. Twenty-four government schools and seven aided schools secured an all pass for all three parts.
In the Scheduled Castes category, 1,633 students secured pass in all parts. In the Scheduled Tribes category, 112 students secured pass in all three parts.
At the Kunnamkulam school for the deaf, all students who wrote the examination became eligible for higher studies. As many as 15,336 students were deemed eligible for grace marks.
Applications for revaluation scrutiny can be downloaded from the website www.vhseexaminationkerala.gov.in and have to be submitted at the school of last study on or before May 25. Applications for SAY examinations should be submitted by May 22.
