The Thalasssery police on Tuesday arrested two youths, including Students Federation of India (SFI) State committee member P.M. Akhil, in connection with the murder of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker K.V. Remith at Pinarayi here on October 11.
The police said that Akhil (25) and CPI(M) worker C. Prayag were arrested after interrogation by investigating officers. Both are natives of Pinarayi.
Remith, son of slain BJP worker C. Uthaman, had been stabbed to death at Pinarayi in broad day light, apparently in retaliation for the murder of K. Mohanan at Valankichal on October 10.
