16,41,103 voters in Alappuzha district

The district has 16,41,103 voters (male and female), according to the latest figures released by the district wing of the Election Commission. It includes 7,78,930 men and 8,62,173 women.

The number of voters in the six municipalities is 2,77,633. Of this, 1,33,324 are men and 1,44,309 are women. Alappuzha municipality has the largest number of voters — 1,24,000, consisting of 59,059 men and 64,941 women. Chengannur municipality has the least number of voters among the six municipalities. It has 19,646 voters, including 9,118 men and 10,528 women.

The total number of voters in the 72 grama panchayats in the district is 13,63,470, including 6,45,606 men and 7,17,864 women. Mararikulam South grama panchayat has the largest number of voters among the panchayats. It has 40,025 voters, including 19,626 men and 20,399 women. The panchayat with the least number of voters is Muttar. It has 6,904 voters consisting of 3,383 men 3,521 women.
