Janata Dal (United) State president and Rajya Sabha member M.P. Veerendrakumar said that he won’t vote for NDA presidential nominee Ram Nath Kovind.

He announced his decision even as the Central leadership of his party backed the candidature.

“I have informed of my decision to Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) national president Nitish Kumar that he cannot vote for Mr. Kovind as he is a BJP member, “ he said.

Mr. Veerendrakumar also said that the Central leadership had accepted the decision of the State unit and that the national president had asked him to take a logical stand on Presidential election.
