Youth assaulted in Shivamogga

A flower seller was assaulted by a gang of people at New Mandli locality in Shivamogga on Thursday afternoon.

Madhu, 22, a resident of New Mandli, was returning home after delivering flowers to a merchant in the flower market, when a group of six people stopped him and assaulted. He managed to escape from the group on his bike. Later, he was admitted to McGann Hospital.

The Doddapete Police have registered the case. Four people have been arrested, said a release issued by Shivamogga SP B.M. Laxmi Prasad.
