Yet another deadline from Yeddyurappa for fall of coalition government

Setting yet another deadline for the coalition government’s collapse, BJP State president and Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly B.S. Yeddyurappa said on Friday that his party would get “at least 22 seats in the Lok Sabha elections” and the H.D. Kumaraswamy government would fall soon after that.

He was addressing a meeting of office-bearers of Shakti Kedra of Bidar Lok Sabha constituency at a private college in Humnabad, Bidar, after flagging off the ‘Modi Vijay Sankalp Yatra’. “The Kumaraswamy government will fall within 24 hours of the results. [I] don’t have any doubt about it,” he said.

The former Chief Minister also said that Mr. Kumaraswamy had “insulted” the people of the State by saying that he became CM because of the blessings of Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. “With a sole intention of preventing me from assuming power, the Congress joined hands with the JD(S) that had only 37 seats and made Kumaraswamy Chief Minister,” he said.
