The Department of Mathematics of Rani Channamma University, Sangolli Rayanna College, Ramanujan Mathematical Society, and Mathematical Sciences Institute will organise a two-day workshop on undergraduate mathematics for maths teachers on its Vidyasangama campus near here from October 9.
A series of lectures on undergraduate mathematics curriculum has been planned and teachers will get a chance to take stock of the recent trends in the core areas of the subject.
The proceedings would help teachers improve their academic excellence and teaching abilities for the benefit of students of RCU’s constituent colleges, T. Venkatesh, coordinator of the workshop and Head, Department of Mathematics, said here on Tuesday.
Those interested should register their names. For teachers, the fee is Rs. 200 and for research scholars it is Rs.100.
