Women take part in ‘shramdaan’

A group of women, members of Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), conducted a ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ at Swarnasandra here on Tuesday.

Equipped with brooms, buckets and other materials they cleaned several streets in the locality under the ‘clean India’ campaign.

They removed hundreds of waste polythene covers, used mineral water bottles, tobacco covers and other waste materials and dumped them in a garbage bin placed in Swarnasandra.

The SKDRDP members said they cleared garbage to promote the importance of Swachh Bharat campaign.

Shwetha, Shobha, Savitha, Geethabai and others led the programme.
