A woman was died after she came in contact with a live wire at Ajjanahalli in Channarayapatna taluk on Wednesday morning.
The woman had gone to her farmland when the incident occurred. Following heavy rain and gusty winds in the village, the electric wire had fallen to the ground, which the victim came in contact with, when she went to the farmland.
Case registered
The victim has been identified as Bhagyamma (45). A case has been registered in the Shravanabelagola police station, according to the sources.
