Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who also holds the Finance portfolio, expressed confidence of achieving plan targets for the current year.

“All efforts are being made to achieve the targets fixed for resource mobilisation for the current fiscal. Instructions have been issued to officials of all departments concerned to reach the target,” he said.

Mr. Siddaramaiah was talking to presspersons at Jindal airport during his brief technical halt enroute to Jamkhandi in Bagalkot district on Saturday.

With regard to presenting the budget for 2015-16, Mr. Siddaramaiah said that pre-budget discussions would be held during the next week. “We hope to present the budget for 2015-16 in the month of March,” he added.

On the Supreme Court-appointed Central Empowered Committee giving its nod for e-auctioning of ‘C’ category mines in Ballari, Tumkur and Chitradurga, Mr. Siddaramaiah said that the government would act according to the directions of the Supreme Court in the matter.
