‘We'll make Kannada the language of High Court'

The State Government is committed to implementing Kannada as the administrative language in the High Court by making amendments to the law, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs S. Suresh Kumar has said.

He was speaking at a function to felicitate judges who delivered judgments in Kannada, organised by the Kannada Development Authority (KDA). KDA chairman Mukhyamantri Chandru said that States such as Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan had made the local language the administrative language.

As many as 37 judges who delivered judgments in Kannada were felicitated on the occasion.
