The Walk of Hope which entails covering 6500 km from Kanyakumari to Kashmir for peace and harmony by Sri 'M' entered Mysuru city on Thursday.
He was accorded a warm welcome by the citizens who accompanied him in the procession through the main thoroughfares of the city. Sri 'M' embarked on his padayatra from Kanyakumari on January 12th and has so far covered more than 1175 km across Tamil Nadu and Kerala in nearly 70 days.
Organised by Manav Ekta Mission advocating humanitarian cause transcending caste, religion, racial and geographical barriers, Sri 'M' – who is 68 years – will have interaction with public and religious leaders at the Jaganmohan Palace later in the day. He will rest for a day on Friday before embarking on his next left to Srirangapatana on Saturday.
He will cover about 10 to 15 km daily during his Walk of Hope and stay in the villages for night where there will be dialogues and inter-faith meet with various leaders.
