Volunteers of the Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) who had earlier taken up cleaning activities in the flood-hit localities in Hubballi, distributed foodgrains, clothes, and other commodities to the residents on Friday.

Led by district secretary Ramanjanappa Aldalli, the volunteers and office-bearers of the orgnaiation met the residents of Devi Nagar, Toravi Hakkal, and Medar Oni in Hubballi.

The volunteers had collected relief materials from different parts of the district and on Friday 25 quintals of rice collected was given away.

The SUCI volunteers had taken up cleaning in several flood-hit localities of Dharwad too. On Thursday, they had distributed rice and other relief materials.
