Volume on Yakshagana to be released in Udupi

A comprehensive volume, ‘Raanam Prasanga Samputa’, written by Raghava Nambiar will be released at the Nutana Ravindra Mantapa on MGM College campus here at 3.30 p.m. on October 29.

The function is being organised by the All India Radio – Mangaluru, Yaksha Gurukula Shikshana Trust, Udupi, and the Department of Kannada and Culture. In a press release issued here on Monday, H. Krishna Bhat, secretary of the trust, said that Vasant Kumar Perla, Assistant Director and Programme Head at AIR-Mangaluru, would release the volume. Writer Ambatanaya Mudrady would preside over the function.

Scholar Padekallu Vishnu Bhat would introduce the volume. The book release function would be followed by a Tala Maddale ‘Parikshita Udbhava’ by Yaksha Sangeet Nada Viabhavam troupe from Moodu Perampalli at 4.30 p.m., the release added.
