Vigilance Awareness Week observed

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., in association with The Hindu, observed Vigilance Awareness Week 2019 at Karnataka Public School, Mysuru, to create awareness about the menace of corruption. The theme was ‘Integrity – a way of life’.

Kusuma N.S., principal of S.V.E.I Composite PU College, who was the chief guest, administered the integrity pledge to students to raise awareness about corruption and make citizens conscious of their right to live in a corruption-free society. In her address to students of the school, Ms. Kusama said every child should be vigilant and should commit to the highest standards of honesty and integrity at all times. She urged children to choose the right path from the beginning and be dedicated, honest and transparent in studies and work.

Giving emphasis on preventive vigilance, Prabha, vice-principal of the school, said that prevention is better than cure. She said it is important to bring about changes in ourselves to prevent misconduct in life.
