Housing Minister V. Somanna has alleged that the video clip, which purportedly contains Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa’s speech at the BJP core committee meeting in Hubballi, was fake.
“The video is fabricated. It is not genuine. It has been created by Congress leaders Dinesh Gundu Rao and Siddaramaiah to bring a bad name to the BJP government,” he told presspersons here on Tuesday.
“There are several mimicry artists who can impersonate Mr. Yediyurappa. The Congress leaders may have caught hold of some such artist to speak like Mr. Yediyurappa,” he said.
Reacting to the proposed padayatra by Mr. Siddaramaiah and other leaders, he said: “It will be good for them. It will keep them fit.”
