Vaijanath Patil quits Congress

Former Minister and Hyderabad Karnataka Horata Samiti president Vaijanath Patil on Tuesday said he had submitted his resignation from the primary membership of the Congress.

Speaking to presspersons here, Mr. Patil alleged that although Article 371 (J) was amended five years ago, both the erstwhile Congress government led by Siddaramaiah and the present coalition government led by H.D. Kumaraswamy had failed to implement it in letter and spirit, thereby coming in the way of progress of the Hyderabad Karnataka region.
