Udupi rave report in cold storage: Congress

July 31, 2012 09:22 am | Updated 09:22 am IST - Bangalore:

Blaming the Government for the attack on young women and men in Mangalore, the Congress on Monday alleged that the government has kept in a cold storage an inquiry report submitted by the Mysore Divisional Commissioner into alleged obscenities during the alleged rave on St Mary’s Island in Udupi in February.

Siddaramaiah, Leader of the Opposition, raising the issue in the Legislative Assembly, said the government had conveniently forgotten to take action on the report submitted by M.V. Jayanti, Regional Commissioner, Mysore Division. The inquiry was conducted into the alleged obscenities during the Spring Zouk Music Festival at St. Mary’s Island from February 3 to 5, 2012. “Why is the government sleeping over the rave report? Is it trying to hush up the incident?” Mr Siddaramaiah asked.
