Superintendent of Police Rohini Katoch has ordered the suspension of two policemen on charges of extorting money from truck drivers.
Traffic police station assistant sub-inspector Srinivasaraju and women’s police station head constable Somashekhar have been accused of illegally collecting money from the truck drivers while they were on night beat duty on NH 75.
The SP had suspended the duo pending departmental enquiry.
