Two panels to check hoarding of red gram, toor dal

Deputy Commissioner Anurag Tewari has formed two committees to check hoarding of red gram and toor dal in the district.

Assistant Commissioners will head the committees. The members will be the jurisdictional tahsildar, deputy tahsildar-food, police sub-inspector and secretary, agriculture produce marketing committee. The committee will inspect private traders, mills and other facilities to check illegal hoarding, said a release. They were formed after the government decided to clamp the Essential Services Maintenance Act to check the unprecedented rise in the price of the grain.
