Two officials suspended

Two Assistant Engineers of Public Works Department in Yadgir district have been placed under suspension, pending inquiry, on the charges of dereliction of duty and failing to prevent illegal sand extraction and allegedly causing a royalty loss of Rs. 30 lakh to the State exchequer. The suspended engineers Bheemareddy and Subhash were working in Surpur and Shahapur taluks respectively. The suspension order was passed by Mariyappa, Under Secretary to the Department, said Manoj Jain, Deputy Commissioner.
