Abductors killed one and injured two youths near Hagarga Cross on the outskirts of Kalaburagi city late on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Fayaz Sheik (25), and the two injured are Imran and Yakub, all residents of Khwaja Colony in the city.
The abductors picked the three youths near Peer Bengali Dargah on Wednesday night and attacked all the three indiscriminately with lethal weapons.
The abductors killed Fayaz Sheik on the spot, and they fled the scene after failing in their attempt to kill the other two.
The exact cause for the crime is yet to be ascertained by the police.
Superintendent of Police Iada Martin Marbaniang visited the spot. A case was registered at Gulbarga University Police Station.
