A team of lifeguards saved an eight-year-old boy, his father and his uncle, all from Bengaluru, from drowning in the sea at Ullal Beach on Sunday.

According to the Ullal police, Syed Aslam (8), his father, Syed Ibrahim, his uncle Firoz Nadim and other family members, all from Nandini Layout in Bengaluru, went to the beach.

The police said Syed Aslam was swept away by the waves. Syed Ibrahim and Firoz Nadim entered the sea to save him but found it hard to reach the boy. Lifeguard Sampath Amin and four others rushed there and brought them out of the water.
