Three officials suspended for dereliction of duty

Hassan Deputy Commissioner Akram Pasha has suspended three officials on election duty on the charge of dereliction of duty.

The suspended have been identified as Deepu S.Y, lecturer at HMS Government PU College at Basavapatna in Arkalgud taluk, Sunil Kumar, secretary of Bannur Gram Panchayat, and Yogesh, secretary of Aladahalli Gram Panchayat.

They were deputed to the check-post at Hippali in Arkalgud taluk for the shift between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

When the Deputy Commissioner and the Arkalgud tahsildar visited the check-post around 11.25 p.m. on Tuesday night, they were not there. The DC issued the order of suspension on Wednesday.
