Three die in road accidents in Sirsi

Three persons died in two road accidents here on Monday.

Shridhar Nagu Mukri (28) of Ganeshnagar in Sirsi died when the motorcycle he was riding hit a bridge at Tadaguni in Yellapur taluk.

He was coming from Yellapur to Sirsi. He lost control of the vehicle, which hit the bridge, and fell into a stream. Yellapur police have registered a case.

In another incident, Vittal Giriyappa Kallur (45) of Ajjampur in Kalaburgi district and Janaki Sanjiv Irannavar (22) of Belatti in Shirahatti taluk in Gadag district died when a tractor they were travelling by met with an accident at Kanchibagil in NH 63 in Ankola takuk in the early hours of Monday.

Quarry workers

They were working in stone quarries and were going from Bramhavar to Shirahatti.

Ankola police have registered a case.
