Belagavi is stated to have secured the 12th position in pass percentage of the students who have passed in the annual II Pre-University examinations this year, the results of which were announced on Monday.
Deputy Director of PU Education, G.A. Tigadi told The Hindu that the district stood 12th in the State as per preliminary reports reaching his office. Of the total 307 PU colleges in the district spread over ten taluks, three colleges have secured 100 per cent results this year.
The Government PU College at Nagnur of Bailhongal has achieved 100 per cent results for the fourth consecutive time while the Government PU College at Hallur of Gokak taluk achieved cent per cent results for the second consecutive year. The S.K. PU College at Savadatti achieved 100 per cent results for the first time this year.
He said other details of the results were yet to be made available from the PU Department’s Head Office at Bengaluru.
