May 15, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:47 am IST - YADGIR:

The district police have formed a team to catch the other two persons who allegedly stole from a jewellery shop after stabbing the shop’s owner and his helper at Hunasagi town in Yadgir district on Wednesday evening.

Deputy Superintendent of Police R.B. Basaragi told The Hindu that the police had definite clues and the case would be cracked soon. He was also confident of catching the duo who had escaped after firing in the air to scare away the public who had gathered outside.

The police were tight-lipped regarding the identity of one of the assailants who was caught by the public while trying to escape on Wednesday night. Three persons, armed with country-made pistols and knives, came on two motorcycles and robbed the jewellery shop and fired in the air to scare the public.
