Textile shop gutted in fire

Valuables worth over Rs. 20 lakh were gutted in fire when a textile shop caught fire accidentally in Sakaleshpur town on Thursday night. The reason for fire mishap is yet to be known.

Ganesh Textiles on B.M. Road in the town caught fire around 10 p.m. The public noticed smoke coming out of the rolling shutters and informed Mukesh Jain, owner, who lives in the second floor of the same building. Two fire tenders succeeded to put off fire late in the midnight.

The jewellery shop in the first floor was also partly damaged. The owner has estimated the value of materials reduced to ashes over Rs. 20 lakh. Sakaleshpur Town police have registered the case.
