TAPMI’s BrandScan in Kundapur today

BrandScan, the annual market-research fair of T.A. Pai Management Institute, will be held at the Junior College Grounds in Kundapur on Saturday and at the KMC Greens in Manipal on Sunday.

Mahalasa Kini, Student Coordinator of the fair, told reporters here on Friday the fair was being conducted in Kundapur for the fourth year, and in Manipal for the 23rd year.

BrandScan is TAPMI’s platform to establish an active industry-institute working relationship, by providing an opportunity for research on projects from companies leading to insights into their products and brands. BrandScan is unique, as it elicits unbiased and natural responses of customers through innovative and vibrant data-collection methods, the organisers said.

BrandScan has done extensive research for companies and industries, including consumer durables, FMCG, banking and financial services, advertising and media, hotel and hospital services, lifestyle products, over the years. Some of the clients include Hindustan Unilever, Apple, Titan, Citibank, Reebok, Samsung, Cadbury’s, Nestle, ICICI, Amul, P&G, TVS motor bikes, MRF.

BrandScan organizes its research and study in thee formats: rural, semi-urban and metro settings. Each year, about 20 projects from companies were taken up for study and research through these formats, conducted at Manipal, Bengaluru and Kundapur during October/November.

In all the formats, the event is laid out in the form of a fun fair with games; and events such as music bands, dance performances and fashion shows. The effort is to mobilize the crowd from the catchment areas to participate in this fair.
