The III Additional District Court on Saturday granted interim anticipatory bail to Noorjahan Ganihar, suspended dean of PG department of Education in Karnatak University, Dharwad.

Ms. Ganihar had applied for anticipatory bail after the Lokayukta Police slapped on her a notice to appear before them in a bribery case. Judge H. S. Ballolli, who heard the bail application here on Saturday, granted the interim anticipatory bail till the disposal of the bail application.

The bail has stipulated that the professor should furnish a bond for Rs. 2 lakh and surrender her passport.
