Start-ups, entrepreneurs in Mysuru to get funding

TiE Angels, a part of TiE Mysuru, has been formed for the purpose

Start-ups and entrepreneurs in the Mysuru region can now look forward to their ideas being funded with the formation of TiE Angels, a part of TiE Mysuru. The start-ups and entrepreneurs will also get a chance to interact with TiE Angels at the TiECON which has been organised on November 23.

At a press conference here on Tuesday, Ajith Pai, Member, Board of Director, TiE Mysuru said that the unique feature of forming TiE Angels is to enable growth of start-ups and to support entrepreneurs early. “TiE Angels is part of a larger network of TiE Global, and through this the start-ups will have the ability to raise funds from angel investors from across the country.”

Well-known speakers will also be discussing the details on how to raise funds as part of the TiECON, he added.

Pavan Ranga, Member, Board of Director, TiE Mysuru said that apart from interactions with angels and entrepreneurs, TiECON will provide a platform for start-ups to be part of “Pitch Room” where they can pitch their ideas. “This is a very useful stage for start-ups as many times, they face big challenge in raising funds,” he added.

Successful entrepreneurs will be sharing their insights in the TiECON which will be held at Radisson Blu Plaza. Entrepreneur Sadananda Maiyya; K. Vaitheeswaran, Co-Founder, Again Drinks; Monica Shukla, Co-Founder, LetsEndorse; Bhavjot Kaur, Co-Founder, Clinikk Healthcare; Abhishek Latthe, CEO, SenseGiz; and others will be among the speakers.

Sid Mookerjee, member, board of directors, TiE Mysuru, said TiE Mysuru has had a successful year with many interactions with successful entrepreneurs. TYE or The TiE Young Entrepreneur event was held during the year and the winner of the event was given prize worth ₹1 lakh.

Sanjay Srinivasmurthy, President, TiE Mysuru, said that TiE is a catalyst for young entrepreneurs to seek timely guidance and mentorship from experienced charter member mentors and learn from their experiences. “TiECON Mysuru is an opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to explore and learn how the Indian ecosystem has matured and shaping up to build synergies that are critical to the start-ups’ success,” he added.

TiE Mysuru was formed in 2018 with successful entrepreneurs in Mysore coming together.

Charter members Mahesh Rao and B.N. Pramodh were present.
